A four-month-old child is the only survivor of a murder scene that Alabama officials are saying is the worst they've encountered, and one that will take days to untangle, reports Al.com. Five people, including a woman reportedly five months' pregnant, were found murdered in rural Citronelle on Saturday afternoon after a woman who said she'd been kidnapped and held hostage escaped and alerted police, adds the AP. "Given the way the scene looks, we're going to be here a couple of days," a Sheriff's Office rep said. "It's obviously a horrific scene." What officials say they know so far, also via CBS News:
- Somewhere between midnight and 1am, residents of the home on Jim Platt Road made a 911 call reporting a trespasser. They identified Derrick Dearman as the trespasser. Citronelle police responded, but found no sign.
