The latest thanks sent President Obama's way isn't the least bit ironic or snide: After he dramatically expanded the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument last week, scientists named a newly discovered fish for the commander in chief, reports National Geographic. The little guy dubbed Tosanoides Obama is maroon and gold, and found off the Kure Atoll. What's more, he's got markings that are " very reminiscent of Obama’s [campaign] logo," says the marine biologist who made the discovery. “How appropriate that a fish we were thinking about naming after him anyway, just to say thank you for expanding the national monument, happens to have a feature that ties it to the president." It's the second fish named for Obama, notes National Georgraphic. (More President Obama stories.)
