The legend of Tim Tebow got another chapter Wednesday when he hit a home run (video here) in his first at-bat as a member of the New York Mets organization, Deadspin reports. Even more impressive, it was on the first pitch the former NFL quarterback saw as a professional baseball player. While it's still not a bad way to start a new career, Yahoo Sports warns we shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves here. Tebow's home run took place during an instructional league game, which is a major step below even AA ball, to say nothing of the actual major leagues. He's still a "long way away from making any significant contributions in the majors." (More Tim Tebow stories.)
