Mob Boss Files $10M Prison Ping-Pong Lawsuit: Former mob boss Thomas "Tommy Shots" Gioeli wants $10 million from the federal government over a Ping-Pong injury. Gioeli, once a high-ranking member of the Colombo crime family, is suing over an injury he suffered during a game at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn in 2013. He says he slipped on a wet floor while playing a game and fractured a kneecap. His suit argues that the prison is negligent; here's why. Cop Sent to Bust Up Fight Busts a Move Instead: Attention all units, officer (getting) down. Constable Jarrod Singh of Toronto's Durham Regional Police Service was called to the scene of a fight Sunday night. He arrived to find eight people surrounding another person. Singh says he can see how someone mistook it for a fight, but the person in the center of the crowd was actually break dancing. And it turns out the officer had impressive dancing experience. Man Charged in Burning His Home Busted by Pacemaker: Ross Compton told authorities that when he saw a fire Sept. 19 inside his Middletown, Ohio, home, he packed belongings in a suitcase and bags, broke a window with his cane, and threw the items through the window before carrying them to his car. He also said he had a cardiac pacemaker. Court records show police got a search warrant to retrieve electronic data stored on the device, then used that data to file charges. Judge Bans Teen From Sex Before Marriage: An Idaho judge has ordered a 19-year-old man not to have sex with anyone before he marries as part of his sentencing for the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl. Judge Randy Stoker sentenced Cody Duane Scott Herrera of Twin Falls to five to 15 years in prison, but he suspended the sentence for a one-year rider program. If the unmarried Herrera completes the program, he'll be released on probation, but there's a celibacy requirement. Church Cigarette Stunt May Mean Jail for Russian Woman: A young woman in western Russia picked the wrong time to be "insulting," as a controversial law approved by President Vladimir Putin in 2013 describes it. Her crime? She posted a photo of herself lighting a cigarette with a candle in a Russian Orthodox church in the city of Belgorod.
