Sources say Ret. Vice Admiral Bob Harward, President Trump's pick to replace Michael Flynn as national security adviser, has turned down the role, calling the gig a "s*** sandwich," CNN reports. A friend of Harward's says he was turned off by how messy things currently seem in the White House. Sources say he wanted his own team and specifically wanted to ditch Deputy National Security Adviser KT McFarland. But Trump told McFarland she would stay on in the position.
