A testament to how funny Veep is: While watching the first episode of the latest season, an Australian lawmaker laughed so hard he ultimately ended up unconscious. Member of parliament Graham Perrett was eating sushi while watching the episode in which (spoiler alert) the character Jonah shaves his head to fake cancer, and during one scene he was laughing so hard "some of the rice went down the wrong way," he explains, per BuzzFeed. "I started choking and I kind of stumbled forward and knocked my head on the corner of the kitchen cabinet." He was unconscious, but only for a few moments; "when I came to again, I was still laughing at Jonah." He ended up with a black eye and stitches for a gash on his face.

The cast and crew of Veep is now responding, some with appreciation and some with incredulity, the Guardian reports. "I mean, c'mon, I'm actually having a hard time believing it. But the real question is - what episode?" Julia Louis-Dreyfus‏ tweeted. Perrett answered her question, to which she replied with thanks—and warning him, "for God's sakes - be careful!" Timothy Simons, who plays Jonah, tweeted that "we'll tone it down a bit next year for this guys sake or maybe send him some edited eps." But executive producer David Mandel has a different idea: "I can think of a few officials in the USA that I may send the episode to," he tells the Guardian. (More Veep stories.)
