Charlie Gard, the terminally ill baby at the center of a monthslong court battle in the UK, has died after being removed from life support, the Mirror reports. The 11-month-old, who was born with mitochondrial depletion syndrome and whose parents fought in vain for him to be allowed to travel to the US for experimental treatment, went into hospice care Thursday by court order. His parents announced Friday that he had died, the Guardian reports. (More Charlie Gard stories.)
