What Custodian Did During Anti-Gun Walkout Got Her Fired

A high-school custodian in South Carolina was fired and faces criminal charges after authorities say she used Wednesday's nationwide gun-control protests as an opportunity to steal from students, WLTX reports. According to WIS, students participating in the walkout exited Richland Northeast High School and left their backpacks behind in a classroom. The Richland County Sheriff's Department says 32-year-old Aisha Evans went through three of those bags, stealing a total of $180. The custodian was identified as the culprit by school administrators and the school resource officer. She was fired and charged with three counts of petty larceny. (More larceny stories.)
