The active shooter at YouTube's Silicon Valley headquarters Tuesday was a woman and is dead, police say. At least four others were injured in the incident in San Bruno, located near the San Francisco airport in northern California's Bay Area. The suspected shooter was found dead on the YouTube campus with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, CNN reports. The shooting happened around 12:46pm in an outdoor cafe on the grounds of the headquarters, CBS San Francisco reports.

Recode rounded up tweets from employees about the shooting; one describes being "barricaded inside a room with coworkers" while another says so many people were running for the exits, the floor rumbled. "We are responding to an active shooter. Please stay away from Cherry Ave & Bay Hill Drive," the San Bruno Police Department said on Twitter. Google, which owns YouTube, tweeted that it is cooperating with authorities. (More shooting stories.)
