Russia's Postal Drone Program Hits a Literal Wall

Using drones to deliver the mail isn't a new idea, but it's a particularly relevant one in far-flung, snowy Russia. However, it's not one that's going seamlessly, reports Reuters. At a test in Siberia last week, a drone took off with the country's first special delivery—and promptly crashed into a wall, that of a three-story residential building. Though the drone took off from a launch pad bearing Russian Post's logo, the postal system quickly backed away from the failure, saying it was only a guest at the event. But says a local official, "We won’t stop with this, we will keep trying. Those who don’t risk don’t get a result."
