Thieves Steal Tiny House

One problem with the tiny house movement: Tiny houses are so tiny, they can be carted off and stolen. That's what happened in St. Louis Saturday, but police found the home Wednesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Meghan Panu had spent $20,000 over the last two years working on the 12-foot-high house, the Washington Post reports; she plans to move in in the spring. It went missing from where it was parked on a trailer outside a home remodeling supply warehouse, and Panu, who has been sharing updates on Facebook, believes someone simply drove off with it. Police, acting on an anonymous tip, found it about 30 miles away, and a towing company returned it to Panu for free. No suspects have yet been identified. (Missouri is apparently a popular place to steal a tiny house.)
