Driver Uses Chicken Wing Sticker in Attempt to Avoid Toll

In what is possibly the most interesting use of a chicken wing price sticker ever, a California motorist was cited Tuesday for allegedly using the aforementioned sticker in an attempt to avoid paying a toll. "From the 'we couldn’t even make this up,' department," the California Highway Patrol posted on its Marin County Facebook page. According to the post, a sergeant patrolling highway 101 noticed a Ford Mustang with a partially obscured license plate near a Bay Area bridge "where people frequently cover license plates to avoid tolls." So the sergeant pulled the car over and found that the motorist had allegedly taken the price sticker off a pound of wings he bought earlier that day at Safeway, tore it in half, and used the halves to cover digits on both the front and rear plates. The car was impounded, and the driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and having an obstructed license plate. (More weird crimes stories.)
