Bill Cosby celebrated his 82nd birthday from prison with a message to fans that Newsweek calls "bizarre" and BET calls "deeply ironic." "I would like to thank all of my friends, supporters and family members for wishing me a Happy 82nd Birthday," posted Cosby, who was convicted of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, on Instagram and Twitter. "Many of my fellow residents [SCI Phoenix] asked, 'Mr. Cosby - is there anything special you would like for your birthday?' I politely replied that the greatest present for me is: 1 Corinthians 13:11 — When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. To all men... it’s time to be Great Fathers, Great American Citizens & Great Husbands. Man Up & Become Men Of Valor."
He finished up with a number of hashtags, including #StandUpManUp, #BeAManOfValor, #HappyBirthdayBillCosby, #FreeBillCosby, and #FarFromFinished. He also added the hashtags #LoveMyChildren and #LoveYouCamille, and Camille Cosby apparently posted her own birthday message to her husband on his social media accounts: "Billy... A joyous 82nd birthday to a man who is caring & loving to his children, grandchildren & me, his wife....may vindication be in your near future, so your fearless voice of truths will no longer be suppressed by the disseminators of lies & enemies of justice. Love, Camille." Newsweek notes it's not clear who is tweeting from Cosby's account, as he has not had free access to social media since being locked up.
