Authorities in Oregon say they believe there is a "high probability" that remains found in a remote area in the southern part of the state are those of missing actor Charles Levin. The 70-year-old's son reported him missing July 8 after he hadn't heard from him in a few days, the Oregonian reports. After GPS data narrowed the search to a remote area near the town of Selma, Levin's vehicle was found on what the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety describes as a "very remote and almost impassable road." Levin's pug, Boo Boo Bear, was found dead inside the 2012 Fiat, which was off the road, disabled by the rough terrain.
After hours of searching the area near the vehicle, the human remains were found. Levin, who has more than 60 credits on his IMDB page, appeared in movies including The Golden Child and Annie Hall and TV shows including Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Seinfeld, and Golden Girls. KTVL reports that Levin, a Grants Pass resident, was in the process of moving between houses when he disappeared. The medical examiner will confirm the identity and the cause of death.
