So is Sarah Sanders running for governor in Arkansas? She's not making anything official yet, but in a new interview with the New York Times, President Trump's former press secretary also isn't exactly downplaying the possibility. "There are two types of people who run for office: People that are called and people that just want to be a senator or governor. I feel like I’ve been called," she says. Sanders is the daughter of Mike Huckabee, the state's governor from 1996 to 2007, and none other than Trump himself has suggested she run for the post, currently held by Asa Hutchinson, whose term ends in 2023. "It’s the role I’ve been pushed into," Sanders continues. "I wouldn’t want to do that if I wasn’t the right person to fit what the state needed at that time." See the full interview, in which Sanders recalls being "called a fat soccer mom" during her time at the White House, here. (More Sarah Huckabee Sanders stories.)
