Director JJ Abrams and top actors in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker are making the rounds plugging the movie, and a more-interesting-than-usual anecdote has surfaced. On Monday, Abrams revealed on Good Morning America that one of the film's closely guarded scripts ended up on eBay, reports the Los Angeles Times. "One of our actors, I won't say which one—I want to, but I won't—left it under their bed and it was found by someone who was cleaning their room," he said. "And it was given to someone else, who then went to sell it on eBay." Don't expect leaks: Disney quickly bought it back on the auction site. Now, it appears we know the actor at fault: John Boyega.
The actor who portrays Finn hasn't copped to it, but actress Daisy Ridley (Rey) appeared on GMA herself Tuesday and dropped a strong hint. "It wasn't me," she said. "Now, I'm not going to throw the person under the bus who it is, but there is someone else potentially coming on the show this week who can answer the question as to who that was." As the Week points out, Boyega is due to appear on Wednesday. Need a recap of the previous Star Wars flicks? Ridley has that covered, too, via this clip from Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. The new movie opens Dec. 20. (More Star Wars stories.)
