Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, turns eight Thursday—which means the public has a new photo, taken by Kate as usual, to ooh and ahh over. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his eighth birthday tomorrow," Kensington Palace said in a statement. The photograph was taken earlier this month at the family's residence in Norfolk, CNN reports. George is shown sitting on a Land Rover Defender, which Vanity Fair notes is likely in homage to his late great-grandfather, Prince Philip, who owned multiple versions of the SUV; one was even used as his hearse. Per Fox News, it was around the young prince's last birthday that he first learned he'd one day be king of the UK.
