Police Searching for Man Who Pushed Stranger Onto Subway Tracks

The suspect is still on the loose in the latest disturbing incident involving a New York City subway platform. Police say a man standing on the Brooklyn platform suddenly, and with no provocation, charged at a man walking by and purposely pushed the second man onto the subway tracks. The victim was not hit by a train, but was injured in the attack, Fox News reports. The suspect then fled the scene, jumping a turnstile as he exited. Police released surveillance video and asked the public for help identifying him.

"It’s not like he had a confrontation with the person or they were arguing or anything. It was just a random shove. He just got shoved into the tracks," a transit worker who spoke to the 32-year-old victim tells the New York Post. The victim himself tells ABC 7, "People were told that I had no injuries, but I am laying in bed with a broken collarbone and my face is so swollen. And mentally I don't know how to even get through this." Just last week in the Bronx, a 26-year-old man was pushed onto subway tracks; witnesses managed to pull him to safety before he was struck by a train.
