Sarah Palin may have been a risky choice for John McCain, but “it’s paying off, big-time,” writes Pat Buchanan for World Net Daily. She's quickly become the greatest asset the conservative movement has, according to Buchanan. The pick will energize conservatives, and give McCain a puncher’s chance at the White House. And should he win, President Palin seems all but inevitable.
In fact, since McCain may serve only one term, Buchanan envisions a historic Palin vs. Hillary Clinton race in 2012. Could the pick backfire? Buchanan doesn’t see how. “The lady has more executive experience than McCain, Joe Biden, and Obama put together,” he declares, reasoning that the VP pick has run both her own business and a state larger than California and Texas combined.
