Cindy McCain "absolutely" believes sexism is behind the media scrutiny of Sarah Palin, the beer heiress told ABC's Good Morning America, complaining that the Palin coverage is "insulting" and "outlandish." McCain, however, said she didn't remember Palin deriding Clinton's "whine about that excess criticism" as doing women no favors.

"But in my opinion, what's going on right now, I truly believe, is sexism. If she were a man, these questions would not be asked at all," she said. McCain said she had known in her heart for a while that Palin was the right veep choice for her husband—"they're mavericks." She said "it's wonderful" Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant.
