In a dramatic moment in federal court in New York on Wednesday, Sean Combs fell to his knees and buried his face in a chair after he was acquitted of the most serious charges against him. He appeared to mouth, "I'm coming home," to family members, the BBC reports. Variety reports that he appeared "relieved and overjoyed" and mouthed "thank you" at the jurors. The hip-hop mogul has been jailed since his September arrest and a judge will decide later Wednesday whether to release him on bail while he awaits sentencing for two prostitution-related offenses. Some reactions:

  • "This makes me physically ill," said Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day, who has been one of Combs' most vocal critics, the Washington Post reports. "Cassie probably feels so horrible," she said of Cassie Ventura, who testified against Combs, accusing him of years of abuse. "Ugh, I'm gonna vomit."

  • Douglas H. Wigdor, Ventura's lawyer, said he had spoken to her and she is in a "good place," USA Today reports. "Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution," he said in a statement. "By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice."
  • "We love everybody watching. We're so happy, my Pops is coming home," Combs' son Christian said outside the courthouse, per ABC News. "God bless." Combs' mother, Janice Combs, said her heart was fluttering as the verdict was read.
  • The Post reports that the scene outside the courthouse was a "circus," with "crowds with varying agendas" converging. One woman was seen jumping up and down in celebration while another person showered her with baby oil. Another person was seen holding a "Free Britney" banner.
