The FBI says Mohammed Jamil Asha and another, unspecified member of the gang of eight doctors and medical students arrested last week began applications to US medical schools through a Philly-based organization. Asha, 26, a Jordanian neurosurgeon, was arrested with his wife in a dramatic sweep near Manchester after a failed car-bomb attempt in Glasgow. The organization where he and his possible associate made application inquiries places foreign-trained doctors in US med schools; Asha got his medical degree in Jordan in 2004.
