He chose Nobel laureate Steven Chu for energy secretary; New Jersey official Lisa Jackson for EPA; Los Angeles deputy mayor Nancy Sutley to lead a White House environmental council; and ex-EPA chief Carol Browner to coordinate climate and energy policy.
