In essence, it’s salt water, but a new drinkable cleaning fluid has been deemed a “miracle liquid,” the Los Angeles Times reports. So-called electrolyzed water is the result of sending current through a mixture of table salt and water. The cleaner, degreaser, and athlete’s foot cure has been used for years in Russia and Japan, but is only now getting popular in the US.
“I didn’t believe in it at first because it didn’t have foam or any scent,” said one housekeeper. “But I can tell you it works. My rooms are clean.” (More cleaning stories.)
