Watchmen Sure to Blow Wilson's Cover

Patrick Wilson has had many brushes with fame, but it’s fairly certain his role in the hotly anticipated Watchmen will finally make walking down the street a chore, New York reports. He’s done studio films before (remember The Alamo?), won praise for his role in Little Children, even dated Scarlett Johansson, but no dice: “Most people outside the business, it’s safe to say, have no idea who I am.”

That will change, thanks to the continuing popularity of superhero movies, even dark, skeptical ones like Watchmen. Impending fame or not, he knows he made the right choice. At a recent screening, his wife applauded a sex scene between Wilson and a costar because she was “pulling so hard for the characters. After that, I was pretty confident that I ended up doing something right with this one.”
