Casey Anthony’s grandmother alleges that the murder suspect may have stolen up to $45,000 from her parents, the Orlando Sentinel reports. “I don’t think she blowed it all at once, but what was she doing all this time?” Shirley Plesea told investigators in August, according to documents released today. “She didn’t have an income. She was out all the time. She always had money.”
Plesea also ascribed her own daughter’s confusing statements last year to fear about the fate of toddler Caylee Anthony, in whose disappearance and murder Casey stands accused. “She’s out of control for one reason,” she told investigators. “If she doesn’t believe Casey then Caylee’s dead.” (More Casey Anthony stories.)
