There were few reporters to be seen as Sarah Palin visited some landmarks of early feminism in upstate New York yesterday, Politico reports. The Alaska governor is at the start of a low-key out-of-state trip with no mass rallies or major addresses planned. Most of the events she plans to attend are linked to her governor's role, although the media has been given few details on her travel plans.
Palin remains in high demand in Republican circles, and while sources say she may stop by the GOP House and Senate fundraiser she declined to headline, many see the trip as an attempt to reshape her public image after last fall's media frenzy. "We anticipate no small amount of ridicule," Palin read from an early feminist declaration at the Women's Rights National Park yesterday. "Some things never change," she said.
