Ghanbari) The Obama administration's push for better fitness and nutrition starts at the top, with the gym-rat president and garden-planting first lady setting the bar high for a nation of couch potatoes. It's all about moderation, Michelle Obama tells Prevention magazine. "My message to women: Do what makes you feel good, because there’ll always be someone who thinks you should do it differently." On healthy eating: "I love french fries, I like a good burger, and I like pie. And that’s okay. I would be depressed if I felt I could never eat the things that I love." Something that probably went without saying: "I enjoy arm exercises." On getting into the best shape of her life after 40: "There was a period, actually right before the campaign started up, that I was really in tip-top shape. I was really there."
