Pistol-Packin' Soccer Mom Shot Dead

A Pennsylvania mom who hit the headlines last year for carrying a loaded handgun to her 5-year-old daughter's soccer games has been found shot dead with her husband in an apparent murder-suicide. The couple’s three children were home during the shootings but were unharmed, police told the Patriot-News. The pair had been having marital problems, neighbors said. Meleanie Hain's gun permit was revoked after other parents complained about her packing a pistol on her hip at games, but it was restored on appeal.
