Another Eurostar train got stuck in the Channel Tunnel again yesterday amid Britain's worst spell of winter weather in a generation. The train was towed out after 2 hours and Eurostar announced that services will be severely limited throughout the weekend. Passengers were urged to avoid non-essential travel, the AP reports.
"I am rapidly developing a very severe hatred of Eurostar as we are travelling at about a mile a year," the British government's minister for Europe, returning from Brussels, tweeted from the stalled train. Heavy snowfall across Britain and northern Europe has snarled travel by road, rail, and air across the region and the cold snap is expected to last into next week. (More Eurostar stories.)
