Underinflated tires played a role in the crash that injured Travis Barker and DJ AM and killed four others. National Transportation Safety Board officials announced today that the underinflation affected the Learjet’s stopping capability and said a tire burst during takeoff. The pilot reportedly decided, against training practices, to then abort the takeoff—an account consistent with the late DJ AM’s account of the crash in his lawsuit, TMZ reports.
