Former Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and line coach Russ Grimm had their ex-team's number yesterday, leading their Cardinals to a 21-14 victory, reports the Arizona Republic. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw an interception in the end zone and was sacked four times, and Cardinals rookie Steve Breaston broke the game open with a 73-yard punt return.
Arizona held league rushing leader Willie Parker to 37 yards, and sent key Steelers defensive players Troy Palomalu and Casey Hampton from the game with injuries. The Cardinals' offensive success came off of Whisenhunt's decision to switch between Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner at quarterback, a gamble that paid off when Leinart connected for a 38-yard pass upon re-entering the game.
