You may think Demi Moore has it all (she’s happily married! She’s strangely close to her ex-husband! She’s still hot!) but Gina Piccalo would like to remind you that Moore was once the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, headlining blockbusters left and right. Now, she tweets a lot, “frequently refers to Ashton Kutcher as ‘my husband,’" and stars in "oddball movies like The Joneses.” What happened?
“That ball-busting $12 million woman who was the Demi Moore of the mid-1990s would eat this fey facsimile for lunch,” Piccalo writes for the Daily Beast. “Now, Moore is content to channel the ferocity of those early years into Twitter spats with the likes of Kim Kardashian”—and she often “appears to be groping for relevance.” Even some of her better roles recently have “faded into oblivion.” The best explanation Piccalo can come up with for this about-face? “Demi Moore has apparently been domesticated.”
