Stephen Baldwin—the Baldwin brother whose, er, hefty résumé includes playing Barney Rubble in The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas—is bankrupt. He’s also a born-again Christian. And because of that, his supporters have come up with an innovative way to restore him to his former glory: We should all give him some money. And if we do, he will be “publicly restored in front of millions, and God will get all the glory.”

Gawker points to the Restore Stephen Baldwin website and a helpful video explaining the project—and comparing Baldwin to Biblical hero Job, “the most influential man in the East.” Just like Job, Baldwin lost everything due to his beliefs (or to the fact that he can’t act—you decide), and has been “publicly ridiculed and insulted.” But if we donate just a token amount, the way Job’s friends did, it will all turn around for him.
