Despite being just as fabulously wealthy as her on-screen counterpart Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker wants more and more. She kept 12 pairs of Swarovski cocktail glasses (worth $4,680 total), a $9,000 Pucci gown, and a pricey pair of metallic boots from the Sex and the City 2 shoot, reports the New York Post in a not-so-complimentary look at the actress it reports went from rags to “a real-life, modern-day Scrooge.”
It’s not just freebies she’s socking away, it’s product placements—oftentimes for her own products. She used the flick as a way to publicize the Halston Heritage brand (she’s chief creative officer). And the movie is full of similar moneymaking schemes disguised as plot points—Carrie even ditches her iconic Macbook for a Hewlett Packard laptop, since SJP will soon be appearing in HP ads.
