Palin calls Thatcher "one of my political heroines" and says the former UK leader's "life and career serve as a blueprint for overcoming the odds and challenging the ‘status quo.'” Palin continues: “She started life as a grocer's daughter from Grantham and rose to become Prime Minister—all by her own merit and hard work." Thatcher, who suffers from dementia, seldom appears in public. Palin said in her post the visit was arranged by a third party who scheduled her London trip, Politico reports. "I would love to meet her and hope I'll be able to arrange the trip in the future,” Palin said. She hasn't expressed an interest in meeting with the current PM, David Cameron, reports the Daily Mail. "Palin’s people haven’t said anything about meeting Cameron," says a source. "I’m not sure they know who David Cameron is."
