(AP Photo/Nick Ut) Combine “mysterious white substance” with “Lindsay Lohan” and what conclusions do you draw? Instead of the obvious, one California cop mistook the white powder—which he found on a folded Clinique sun care card in Lohan’s pocket during her 2007 DUI incident—for a crushed breath mint. It turned out to be cocaine, of course, but he had already thrown it away before realizing that and recovering it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how LiLo spent just 84 minutes in jail for the DUI, TMZ theorizes. Thanks—most likely—to that evidence contamination, a plea bargain was quick to follow.
