At least one of the Real Housewives of DC made Heather Havrilesky say, “Blech. Of course,” she notes on Salon, “this is exactly the response a Real Housewife should elicit, ideally, and it's a sign that this is going to be an invigorating season.” The latest entry in the Housewives franchise debuts Thursday, and if you love to hate “filthy rich, self-involved, surgically sculpted social climbers,” you’re going to enjoy this show, Havrilesky concludes.

Rest assured, it’s not the Michaele Salahi Show, Nancy Doyle Palmer assures us on the Huffington Post. In fact, “the others have it in for her from the start,” and “fully turned on her” by the end of the series. Not that the other Housewives, are much better: Havrilesky calls socialite the Mary Schmidt Amons “creepy” and the British Catherine Ommanney “over-the-top arrogant,” but she likes modeling agency owner Lynda Erkiletian—mostly because “she has a young, tall, gorgeous Nigerian boyfriend” who often appears on camera with her.
