Rick Perry's controversial new campaign ad is closing in on the YouTube record for most disliked video ever. The ad—which currently has close to 400,000 "dislikes"—is now behind only Justin Bieber's video for "Baby," and Rebecca Black's "Friday" video. The Bieber video has more than 2 million dislikes, and Black's had more than 1 million before being removed from the site on its first go-round, but the Perry video has only been up for a couple of days so there's plenty of time to hit the record, Talking Points Memo notes.
Most campaign ads disable YouTube's voting feature, but Perry's team apparently forgot—or they don't know how. Dozens of videos spoofing Perry's ad have surfaced, including one by Second City's Andy Cobb that has gone viral, the Huffington Post reports. The funnyman mimics the ad, down to the tan coat Perry wears in his ad. "You know there’s something wrong with this country when politicians think it’s OK to hate on gays and nonbelievers in ads," Cobb says. Click to watch it. (More Rick Perry stories.)
