Yikes! A crowd of hot-air-balloon lovers got quite the surprise Saturday when a balloon plowed right into them, CNN reports. Attendees at the Missouri balloon festival scrambled as the basket crashed through a tree and skirted the ground while trying to land. One girl suffered a minor injury and a festival-goer tells KHQA the basket "ran over" his mother, who took a cut to the finger. Organizers of the Hannibal Bicentennial Celebration say the pilot was an "experienced balloonist" and other events continued as planned, per Fox News. A festival website says the Saturday evening "balloon glow" event gave people the chance to ride in tethered balloons. See videos of the crash here and here.
