Geraldo Rivera wouldn’t mind if someone happened to kill David Earls. Not that he’s telling you to do it, or anything, Gawker notes. On Fox News last night, Rivera and Bill O’Reilly were grousing about the convicted child rapist who got just a 1-year sentence. O’Reilly, still smarting from the George Tiller murder, said, “If Earls ever walks out of jail and gets killed, who are they going to blame?”
Rivera replied, “I can only tell you ladies and gentlemen, that I will not weep if something happens to David Earls.” He added that he didn’t encourage vigilantism, but only because the vigilante might get hurt. O’Reilly protested. “That would be as morally wrong as what Earls did,” he said. Rivera: “You’re more moral than I am.” (More Geraldo Rivera stories.)
