Injured Bills tight end Kevin Everett was back home in Houston this afternoon to begin the next phase of rehabilitation. Disembarking from a private flight, Everett was moved by ambulance to a Houston hospital that specializes in the rehabilitation of trauma patients. Wearing an Everett jersey, his mom, Patricia Dugas, follwed in a town car, ESPN reports.
Everett also received a personal welcome from hospital CEO, Carl Josehart. "When our staff heard about Kevin's injury in that game, many of them called me and asked how we could help him," Josehart said in a statement. "We are looking forward to working with Kevin." NFL Players Association President Troy Vincent has also contacted Houston footballers, asking them to adopt Everett as an honorary teammate. (More Kevin Everett stories.)
