Pepperoni, green peppers, and... pepper spray? That's the topping a teen allegedly got on his pizza, unbeknownst to him, during a routine traffic stop in Orange County, Calif. The 19-year-old and his buddies got sick from eating the pie, which prosecutors say was sprayed by sheriff's deputy Juan Tavera. Tavera arrived after the young man was pulled over by a different cop, authorities say. He's been charged with misdemeanor assault or battery by a public officer, the Los Angeles Times reports, and could face a year in jail. How bad is pepper-sprayed food? The Inquisitr finds out, and it's none too pleasant. (More pizza stories.)
